Steve Hackett LIVE Aylesbury 2021

Mon 18th of October 2021 I went to see one of my favourite guitarists and progressive rock hero's Steve Hackett. This time at Friars Aylesbury, or rather the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre hosted by Friars.

This was on of the now famous Genesis Revisited shows Steve Hackett has been doing for a while now and was everything I expected.

The gig was in two halves. The first set all Hackett originals kicking of with a big favourite of mine, Clocks - The Angel of Mons (Watch the video below) and then moving into Held in the Shadows from his latest album (2021) Surrender Of Silence.

The set continued with the opening track from his third album Spectral Mornings, and a track that I loved from the day I heard it back in 1979. The track was of course Every Day. I still have the 12" single version of that and Clocks.

Then another track from the latest album called The Devil's Cathedral and finishing up with another classic Shadow of the Hierophant which nearly blew the roof off!

Below is the video I shot from the audience of the set opener Clocks...

After a brief intermission, we settled down for the Genesis Revisited section of the show. This was billed as Genesis Revisited 2021 - Seconds Out + More!

I shot one video and that was of the set opener and then put the camera away to enjoy the rest of the show. Here's the set list..
